Abstract
An interdisciplinary approach in dental care is a common management protocol by most of the clinicians1. Orthodontics could be applied as a part of periodontal treatment, provided that the periodontal tissue is adequate to support the orthodontic forces2. This paper will briefly review several aspects of orthodontics in periodontal management, which includes, teeth alignment to facilitate oral hygiene routine; realignment after pathological tooth migration (drifting); crown lengthening; mucogingival and intrabony defects management; and implant site preparation.
